Amazons Green 3 Program

Amazon.com is also participating in the 'Green' movement and it is good to see. What is this challenge that Amazon has thrown out to its comminity? Amazon wants to help consumers 'go green' by assembling the most authoritive list of environmentally-friendly or eco-friendly products for purchase on the Internet.

Amazon is asking their eco-conscious customers to choose three environmentally-friendly products from the vast selection of products sold on Amazo.com that they think everyone should be using.

These lists will then be put together and ranked according to a vote on their popularity thereby creating a catalog of green products for the Web. This will be an invaluable resource for customers wanting to do their bit in protecting the environment.

Examples of some of the categories of products we are talking about include:

• Home and Garden
• Home Improvement
• Electronics
• Computers
• Books
• DVDs
• Grocery

Amazon.com also plan of providing an ongoing education program from the more authoritive figures within the 'green' community aimed at those of us keen to learn what part we can play in making green product choices.

• You must be signed in to your Amazon account
• you must have made at least one purchase on that account
• you must hae a Pen Name associated with that account
