Solar Energy Heater Energy Saving
Tips
Energy prices are rising nearly everyday. You have listened to
everything the experts have told you and incorporated every
innovation just to cut down on your electricity bills. What
have you heard of an energy saving heater? Don't worry, it is
not a new device designed to soak up your hard earned but
simply a new way of maximizing your heating system without
having to consume more energy.
The Energy Saving Heater
There is no argument that heating is the largest energy
consumption item on the electricity bill in a typical home
nowadays. This means that the mere energy consumed by heaters
account to almost “two-thirds” of the yearly consumption rate
of places with colder climates.
It is therefore extremely important to utilize the energy
saving heater so as to conserve more energy and eventually
lower your electricity bills.
The main concerns of the majority of people is to whether or
not they have to dispose of their existing and fully functional
heaters just so they could utilize the energy saving heater. It
is a good reason to be concerned as there are heating
systems that are not suitable for an energy saving heater
conversion. But in most cases they are
suitable.
The
Concept
Sunlight is a clean and renewable source of energy. It has
always been the basis of life on this planet and now, with a
new level of technology, can be utilized to not only save
money, energy but also the environment.
Today, there are many devices that are already incorporating
the concept of solar energy. This is because people have come
to realize that the energy coming from the sun is actually a
sustainable resource. Coal and gas are not sustainable and once
they are gone, they are gone. There is no more.
People have now learned how solar energy provides
electricity and other forms of energy for solar hot water,
solare pool heaters and solar space heaters and realise that a
solar energy system saves energy, reduces the power bill and
produces a clean and renewable energy.
The Solar Energy Saving Water Heater
Today, more and more people are utilizing solar energy into
their heating system. It is one of the most cost effective ways
of incorporating clean and renewable energy technology into the
home.
Energy saving heaters work with the three main components of
solar energy generating system. These are the heat transfer
system, the solar panels or solar collector, and the hot water
storage tank.
Basically, in an energy saving heater system, the primary step
is to mount the solar panels or solar collector into your
roofs. The most common collector used in solar water heaters is
the flat-plate collector.
The sun heats the water or heat transfer fluid in the
collector. This heat is transferred to the water in the storage
tank via heat exchange units depending on whether the solar
water heating system is active or
passive. This will generate the much needed solar
energy to be used in your energy saving
heater.
With the hot water cylinder of your energy saving heater, the
remaining hot water are stored so that you will always have an
available supply of hot water that you can use all throughout
the day. Depending on which system is used a conventional
system may be available to provide additional heating if
necessary.
The Solar Energy Saving Pool Heater
With this form of heating, the existing pool filtration system
pumps pool water throught the solar collector and the heat is
transferred directly to the pool water. The solar collector can
vary depending on the size of the application and whether the
application is for residential or commercial pools and
spas.
The Solar Energy Saving Space
Heater
Believe it or not, solar energy can be used to not only heat
the water in a building but it can also heat the air. A solar
space heating system can consist of a passive system, an active
system or a combination of both
The Passive Energy Saving Space Heater System takes
advantage of the solar heat energy through design features such
as south facing windows if you are in the northern hemisphere
or north facing windows if you are in the southern hemisphere.
You get the general idea. You can also take advantage of the
material in the floors and the walls to absorb the heat during
the day and release the heat at night.
The Active Energy Saving Space Heater System use the
collectors to absorb the solar radiation and then utilize
mechanical devices to transfer the heat collected. These types
of energy savings systems use either a liquid or air as the
medium to transfer the solar heat directly to the
interior space or to a storage system.
Solar Energy Saving Heaters has improved dramatically in the
efficiency and reliability rating making them an attractive
proposition to the consumer. They are not only
provided with a tax credit incentive by the government, a
chance to reduce their personal energy costs but also a
chance to be active in the protection of the environment
by reducing the consumption of fossil
fuels.
Remember, reducing your
electricity bill is equivalent to saving power, thus helping
the world save power for its future
generations.
Make power at home with
solar and wind energy to eliminate your power bill.
